Ladybirds
A Quilt By Barbara Barber
"Ladybirds" was a quilt created by Barbara Barber in 2002 and has won several awards in addition to our Quilt of the Month program. Barbara uses a beautiful mix of greens and purple to attract the viewer’s eyes to the quilt as well as couched stitches to make the quilt stand out among the others.
Awards this quilt has won:
2001 European Quilt Championships, Waalre, Nederland. Best Workmanship.
2002 – National Quilting Association Show – Charlottesville, NC, USA – 1st Place Professional Mixed Technique
2003 – October/November Invited to be a part of the IQA Houston Show in an exhibition titled ‘ World-wide Winners’
